Larry Williams - Bio

For more than twenty years, Larry Williams has been a passionately involved participant in journalism, professional speaking and community causes. His business acumen has served as a model for many entrepreneurs. Much of his success has been a result of extensive advanced level training, networking and focused attention on matters pertaining to self-improvement in business.

As a freelance journalist, Williams’ career in professional writing has spanned more than two decades, creating a wide variety of articles for various newspaper publications and magazines – both locally and nationally. As a popular FM radio broadcaster for many years, his celebrity interviews gained great popularity both “on air” and through “published entertainment reviews”.

As a small business owner since 1990, he has focused on developing a customer service model in an industry that was all but void of direction and standards. Through his leadership and educational offerings (i.e. articles, books and seminars), the Mobile Disc Jockey Industry has experienced significant positive improvements in the areas of public perception and customer service. His on-going friendship with legendary disc jockey Dick Clark continues to serve as a driving motivation and influence in his efforts to affect positive change.

Within the community, Larry has worked very hard to lend his talents to various causes and programs. In 2006, he was awarded the prestigious Michael Butler Humanitarian Award by the American Disc Jockey Association, for his extraordinary efforts in community service. In 2009, he was spotlighted on the E! Television Channel (and other news outlets) for writing the 1991 song "Jaycee Lee" for kidnap victim Jaycee Lee Dugard, whose recovery gained world wide attention.

Today, Larry Williams continues to inspire and motivate thousands of entrepreneurs and employees who are seeking to establish a stellar customer service model through his writings and public speaking. His newest book – Customer Service A to Z, is an edgy "tell it like it is" tutorial that addresses the imperfections that exist in customer service today.
